Glacier Bay National Park - Raft/Canoe/Kayak

The Alsek and Tatshenshini Rivers offer some of Alaska's biggest rapids when the water is high. These trips are usually at least six days long and can run even longer with weather stops.

Bring your own fold-up boat, or rent kayaks, canoes and a guide in Bartlett Cove to explore Glacier Bay. Keep in mind that the weather can change rapidly during the summer months when the park is open so pack plenty of rain gear and food.

Rivers that offer good whitewater rafting, kayaking or canoeing in the Glacier Bay National Park area are listed below. Click on any name for more information.

Select Rafting Guides and Outfitters for a list of raft, kayak, and canoe companies in the area that offer rentals or guided trips.
