Description
Denali National Park and the Kenai Peninsula
"To the lover of pure wilderness, Alaska is one of the most wonderful countries in the world, wrote John Muir in 1879. Although the prospectors and traders of Muir’s generation have been replaced by adventurers sporting cameras and binoculars, Alaska’s vibrant frontier spirit and overwhelming natural grandeur still have the power to consume the senses. Marvel at the snow-clad immensity of Mount McKinley, pedal beneath glacier-carved peaks and paddle along the shoreline of Resurrection Bay. By bike and on foot, on rafts and in sea kayaks, discover Alaska’s majesty from many perspectives with Backroads.
