This is the ultimate Grand Canyon backpack trip! We
will spend several days hiking from the South Rim to
the North Rim and back. We will camp the first night
in the canyon and the hike up the North Kaibab trail to
the North Rim Campground. Here, we will get a little
R&R and check out the views from the more secluded
side of the canyon. We will leave the next morning,
making our way back to the other side, camping again
on the bottom. This is not the trip for the novice hiker, but if you are in great physical condition and want to hike in one of the best places in the world, this is the hike for you.
There is a small window of opportunity to travel to the
North Rim since it is closed during the winter months.
There is even a smaller window of opportunity to do this hike through the inner canyon as the temperatures can climb to well over 100 degrees during the summer months. Reserve this trip at least 5 months in advance!
The trip includes...
Round-Trip SUV transportation from Phoenix, Sedona, Flagstaff, Williams or Tusyan
Experienced Guides
All meals; including post-trip meal at a local restaurant
All necessary permits and fees
All equipment: backpacking tent (double occupancy), Jet Boil stove, sleeping bag, air mattress, backpack and utensils.
