Alaska's northernmost city is unassuming and well at ease with the moose that sometimes ramble through town - catch local cultural sights before steering on towards the Arctic Circle.
Trailhead is located along the Polk Road (FS Road 21) at the pass that splits the Trocadero Watershed and Twelvemile Watershed. It is a one-way, .25 mile accessible boardwalk trail that leads to an overlook of Pass Lake. There are benches located along the trail and a picnic table and grill at the overlook. Rated easiest.
