 Getting There

Denali National Park's east border is US 3, the major north/south conduit between Anchorage and Fairbanks, mainland Alaska's two largest cities. This is a paved road that is kept open even during winter months. From the east entrance, it is 240 miles south to Anchorage or 125 miles north to Fairbanks.

Private vehicles are no longer allowed into the interior of the park. A visitor's center, trails, and other options are accessible by private vehicle just within the park, but you'll need to arrange a bus tour (907-272-7275) or travel on foot or by bike to see the interior.
